 Today we rode from Wooster Ohio to Niles Ohio. It was a 93 miles day. It started out a little bit cool. At one point we had a little bit of rain which then stopped. On the last roughly 11 to 13 miles it did start to rain again, but that was on a nice bike path and we were a little bit sheltered. The countryside is a lot more similar to the New England area. There was a lot of farmland with nice houses. We also rode through some residential areas. It was a very nice ride. I enjoyed it the most because we made lots of turns which helps to make the day go by. Sometimes riding for miles and miles on one road , I get a bit bored. Again I did not take a lot of pictures as my focus was to try to get the ride done. Additionally, I tend to be one of the slower riders and I feel like that would delay me. I did manage to take a couple though. When I got in, I was quite tired and my legs were quite achy. The hotel room though had a bathtub with a Jacuzzi and I enjoyed it immensely. Tomorrow we will be riding to Erie Pennsylvania crossing another state line.

Days 2&3

 Yesterday on day two we rode to Indio California. I did pretty well. I did get in the SAG wagon for a little bit. But I was able to complete the ride to the hotel. We rode through Palm Springs, which was an interesting place with lots of wealthy places. The town or city itself had a lot of different shops and restaurants. We did not eat there though. Although at the end of Palm Springs, or as I was leaving it, I did stop at a Carl juniors and had a couple of pieces of chicken and was able to fill up my fluids with lots of ice. It was quite warm yesterday. I did not take any pictures and I apologize for that. First Day

 I completed my first day.  I did pretty well. I completed 77 out of 84 miles. Had a little difficulty with nutrition and hydration at one point. Overall, it was a good day. Went through a lot of LA. Also went through a place called Gardena which reminded me of skiing in Italy. We were at Val Gardena. The last 7 miles were a climb similar to the beginning of the Kangamangus Clinb and I decided to play it safe and get in the SAG wagon. Most of the scenery today was city like. We did go through an area of where multiple homeless folks were living. That was kind of sad. Below is a picture of me at Manhattan pier just before we left. That is today’s update.
