So today we rode from Saint Joseph Missouri to Chillicothe Missouri. In Maysville, we stopped at a local school and met some of the children there that was quite fun. Then from there we rode 2 x 2 into the town Square we are by we had a sag hosted by the DeKalb County historical society. They had lots to drink, some special coffee buns, as well as some sandwiches and bananas for us. Today’s ride included a lot of hill, climbing. Many of the hills had a significant grade. Prior to the hill they’d be a downhill, but as you go up that hill with the with the steep grade, it felt like you were hitting a brick wall, and you could barely move. Typically I can do OK with that, but this was coupled with in intense humidity and heat. I continue to muddle along until a friend of mine had a flat. I stayed with her to help her change it. By that time now we were done we were pretty far behind and one of the SAG wagons came back to look for us and pick us up. We both ended up staying in the sag wagon till the end. The crazy Hills continued as well as the heat. I wasn’t too disappointed about being in the SAG .
